Additional Information:
These images have artifacts called ‘pupil ghosts’, which are caused by multiple reflections within the telescope from a bright star just outside the camera’s field of view. The ‘pupil’ is essentially the telescope’s primary mirror (the bright annulus) shaded by the three-legged support structure for the secondary mirror.
